Crystal Parish serves as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for LaurelCare. Crystal joins the LaurelCare team with over fifteen years of experience working in community-based and family-based services for adolescents and their families. Prior to coming to LaurelCare, Crystal worked for Pyramid Healthcare for three years, serving as the Program Director and National Clinical Liaison for Silvermist Recovery, a residential program in Butler, PA that primarily treats young adults with substance use disorders. Before working at Silvermist, Crystal spent seven years working as a therapist at Gateway Rehabilitation Center and four years as the clinical manager for multiple outpatient locations. While at Gateway, Crystal provided outpatient services for both adults and adolescents diagnosed with substance use disorders.
Crystal received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology in 2004 from Indiana University of PA and her master’s degree in Community and Agency Counseling from California University of PA in 2011. Crystal is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified in Family Structural Therapy.
In addition to her broad experience in the treatment and therapy arenas, Crystal also loves to teach. She has facilitated lectures on a variety of topics related to her work, including attachment disorder and attachment theory. She works hard to engage family members in the treatment process and leads educational trainings on the treatment of Methamphetamine use and Medication Assisted Treatment to treat Opioid Use Disorders.
Crystal currently resides in the North Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband and three young children and enjoys practicing yoga and reading to relax during her spare time. Crystal has been personally impacted by addiction, and her experiences have motivated her to dedicate her career to helping others realize that recovery is possible and that no one is hopeless.
